The International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) is the world’s oldest and largest independent organization representing associations of medical students internationally. It currently maintains 116 National Member Organizations from more than 100 countries across six continents with over 1.5 million students represented worldwide. IFMSA is recognized as a non-governmental organization within the United Nations’ system and the World Health Organization and as well, it works with the World Medical Association. IFMSA unites medical students worldwide to lead initiatives that impact positively the communities we serve. IFMSA represents the opinions and ideas of future health professional in the fields of global health, and works in collaboration with external partners. IFMSA builds capacity through training, project and exchange opportunities, while embracing cultural diversity so as to shape a sustainable and healthy future
IFMSA-Egypt Exchange:
IFMSA-Egypt Exchange consists of Professional Exchange and Research Exchange. Through the IFMSA network IFMSA-Egypt Exchange operates between Egyptian Medical students and IFMSA members around the world .
Outgoing Division:
The division responsible for offering exchange opportunities to medical students of Egyptian Medical Faculties that are members of IFMSA-Egypt, as well as supervising the selection of exchange candidates through a process of an exam, an interview and finally the whole paper processing until the final steps of the clerkship. Boarding and local guidance are offered for the outgoings to assure the program’s successfulness and assent.
Incoming Division:
The division responsible for arranging exchange opportunities for foreign students in different departments of Egyptian Medical Schools and Hospitals. The division with its team is also responsible for arranging boarding and lodging for the incoming students, as well as an interesting social program and trips during the period of the clerkship.
